The Hawaii Career Expo scheduled for Wednesday at the Neal Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall will feature many of the state’s top employers seeking the best candidates for open positions.

The free event, sponsored by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and presented by Star Events, is open to all job-seekers, who will get the opportunity to meet hiring managers from a variety of companies, as well as military and government departments, at over 100 booths.

It provides candidates with a chance to meet one-on-one with recruiters looking for qualified employees and learn more about available jobs, organizers said.

“Each year, thousands of people participate in our Career Expos to connect with hundreds of recruiters and human resource managers throughout the state,” said Star Events Director Denise Ching. “This month, we are excited to feature opportunities in a wide variety of job categories including law enforcement, construction, nursing, food service, tourism and hospitality, financial institutions, emergency services, retail, technology, transportation and so much more.”

The Career Expo runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Attendees may present a printed copy of their resume at the front door for free admission. Preregistration is recommended at hawaiicareerexpo.com Opens in a new tab.

Job-seekers also are invited to attend free resume workshops presented by City & County of Honolulu’s Department of Community Services on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. at the Dole Cannery Office Building, 680 Iwilei Road, Suite 700.
