Kaiser or HMSA
Our take
As you navigate your new health care needs in Maui, choosing between Kaiser and HMSA is crucial. With your increased medical visits and the necessity for specialist care, it’s essential to consider which plan offers better coverage and support for your situation. Reflecting on your past experience with HMSA as a teacher, it’s important to weigh that familiarity against Kaiser’s offerings, especially given your need for off-island care. Your health journey is unique, and finding the right provider will ensure you receive the best support.
Looking for opinion on best choice:
I moved back home (Maui) and my situation is completely different now.
Iʻm older, my children are grown, I have many doctor visits per year to every type of doctor (not really but you get it), will have several visits to specilists so will have to go off island at least 1x every 3 months and will need one of my adult girls to fly with me.
I had HMSA when I was a teacher and my kids were young.
But considering my changes, which is the better choice Kaiser or HMSA?
Mahalo in advance 🙂
