What makes a great modeling portfolio in 2025?

Hey everyone!
Since this subreddit is brand new, I wanted to kick things off with a discussion about what really makes a portfolio stand out these days.

There’s a lot of mixed advice out there — some say you need 10–15 professional shots, others say just a few strong images that show range are enough.
What do you think matters most right now?

  • Variety (fashion, lifestyle, headshots, fitness)?
  • Quality over quantity?
  • A mix of studio + natural light?
  • Personality and confidence over “perfect” poses?

If you’ve built a portfolio recently (or help others do it), drop your tips and examples below. Let’s make this a helpful place for anyone just getting started in modeling!
