Power Query in web Excel - what exact business plan is needed?
I'm trying to use Power Query in work, but we've only got Microsoft 365 Business Basic licence/plans.
Looking at the Microsoft announcement about the new Power Query experience (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/excelblog/new-in-excel-for-the-web-the-full-power-query-experience/4472352), it says "Viewing and refreshing queries is available to all Microsoft 365 Subscribers. The full Power Query experience is available to all Microsoft 365 Subscribers with Business or Enterprise plans."
I can't seen to find any documentation about what exact Business plans are included, as I don't think it's working for me due to only have the Business Basic plan.
I can see the Get Data button, but when I click it the button disables and nothing happens. I thought it might have been a browser and/or cache issue, but I've tried on multiple different browsers and computers, and can't get it to work, so I'm thinking it's a licence issue.
Our outsourced IT team are pretty useless at questions like this, and won't ever refer back to Microsoft support so you guys are pretty much my shadow IT team 😆
So my questions are:
- Does anyone know what exact/minimum plan is needed?
- If I create a Power Query query in my own personal desktop Excel, and then upload that file to the company OneDrive/SharePoint, will the query still be able to be refreshed in web, even if I can't create new queries?
