Styled Shoot Blues
Hey friends, I wanted to get your take on something since there seems to be something I don't understand about styled shoots. My fiancee is a gigging musician And is often invited to styled shoots. When she is there, it's like she is completely ignored by the photographers.
The photographers take plenty of pictures of cutlery, linens, flowers, even pretend brides, but almost nobody takes any time to photo or video her. She feels ignored during the process, even though she spends a lot of time making sure she is presentable for a professional photography shoot. Following these events, if someone actually did photo her, she has tried to reach out to them to see if they have any pics or footage of her and her instrument that they could share with her for her own business, but she is often iced out/left on read.
What am I missing? I know I'm biased, but she's objectively beautiful, and sounds phenomenal on her instrument. It baffles me why she doesn't seem to be included more in the whole process, during and after. Neither of us are photographers, I just wanted to reach out here to see if there is anything she could be doing differently to engage more with these photographers.
